Troylynn White-Jenkins departed this earthy life on Friday, August 17, 2018 at the age of 52. Troylynn was born to the late Frank and Shirley Pitt-White in New Orleans, Louisiana. She was the devoted wife of Gregory Jenkins Sr. and beloved mother of Gregory Jr., Gerrell Sr. (Sheena), Gerren Sr. (Charonne) and Alexis Jenkins. Loving grandmother of Anya, Amani, Gregory III, Gerrell Jr., Gerren Jr. and Jace Jenkins; daugther-in-law of Morris and Carolyn Biggs.
Troylynn is preceded in death by her brothers, Charles, Willie, Larry, David, Randy, Frank Pitt and Stacie White. She is survived by three sisters, Sylvia Pajeaud, Cherryn Burkette and Leatrice White; and one brother, Kenneth Pitt Sr. She was the God mother of Mialynn Williams. Troylynn is also survived by a host of brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, family and friends. She was a graduate of John McDonogh Sr. High, class of 1983, and owner of Sunshine Transportation and contractor with Hammond Transportation.
Family and friends are invited to attend the Homegoing Celebration at St. James Methodist Church, 1925 Ursulines Avenue, New Orleans, LA on Saturday, August 25, 2018 at 11:00AM. Minister Bruce Davenport officiating. Visitation will be held from 10:00AM until the hour of service. Interment will follow at Lakelawn Cemetery.
