On Monday June 19th, 2023, at 9:03 AM, Linda Izetta Daggs , stuck her sword in the sand of time. Linda was born December 9, 1953, to the union of Wilbert Daggs and Helen Roussell Daggs. Linda was baptized at the age of 7 years old at Pilgrim Progress Baptist Church by the reverend John Francis Jr. In later life she joined Word Changing Ministries pastored by Jonas Austin III. Linda was educated in the New Orleans public school system, a graduate of Walter L. Cohen Senior High School and attended Delgado Community College. Linda worked as an educator; she taught kindergarten at Berean Head Start Center for many years. Linda loved people and animals, especially her dog “TUTA”. Linda was preceded in death by her father Wilbert Daggs Sr. her mother Helen R. Daggs and nephew Warren S. Daggs. Linda leaves to cherish her memories one sister Thelma Daggs Hathorn one brother Wilbert Daggs Jr. (Stacy) one niece Dana Ottes (Byron) nephews Jesse Hathorn (Sheila) Los Angeles CA Demel, Deville & Hakeem Daggs Oakland CA, Reggie and Maurice Powell, San Francisco CA, 1 great nephew, four great nieces, four great great nephews and one great great niece a host of relatives and friends.

 
 

  • Services for Linda Izetta Daggs will be held on Saturday July 8th, 2023, at 10:00 AM at Church At New Orleans, 11700 Chef Menteur highway, Pastor Jonas Austin III officiating.

 

  • Visitation will be at 9:00 AM until the hour of service.

 

  • Interment St. Mary Cemetery.

 

  • Pastors and members of the Holy Word Church, Word Changing Ministries, New Home Baptist Church, LSU cafeteria, Berean Head Start, relatives and friends are invited to attend the services. Special thanks to Patricia Williams (Cousin Pat) and Vernon Bernard.
