Lillian Brooks Armwood, passed away peacefully at home on Wednesday, February 9, 2022 in New Orleans, Louisiana at the age of 79. She leaves to cherish her fond memories three sons, Leon (Sharnique) Armwood Jr., Corvell Armwood, and Reggie (Nikita) Armwood; seven daughters, Glenda Prude, Linda (Errol) Florida, Karent Hansell, Gaynell Addison, Keithra Armwood, Darnell (Jeffery) Faciane, and Rochon Armwood; honorary daughter, Tamira W. Armwood; granddaughter raised as a child, Latoya Armwood; five sisters-in-law, Remona Thomas, Shelia McFarland, Rita Young, Corlis (Larry) Green, and Sara Armwood; 39 grandchildren, 35 great-grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and friends. She is preceded in death by her spouse, Leon Armwood Sr.; father, Rev. Joseph Brooks; mother, Lillian Clark; father-in-law, Sherman Armwood Jr.; step mother-in-law, Pearla Jones Armwood; sister, Carol Jean Drummond; brother-in-law, Arbey Armwood; and son-in-law, Michael Addison Sr.
- Home-going service will be Friday, February 18, 2022 at 11:00 A.M. at the New Hope Missionary Baptist Church, 1807 Rev. John Raphael Jr. Way, New Orleans, LA 70113, Rev. Jamaal Weathersby, Officiating.
- Visitation will be at 9:00 A.M. until the hour of service.
- Interment at Restlawn Park Cemetery, 4040 Highway 90 West, Avondale, LA 70094.
- Masks are required.
