Irma Donald Coleman, a New Orleans native, entered into eternal rest on Saturday, February 24, 2018, in Fort Worth, Texas at the age of 78. Irma Lee was born July 7, 1939, to the late Wilford Donald and Hazel Jackson Donald in Pine Grove Louisiana., where she received her education in the public school system. She moved to New Orleans where she united with Elmer Lee Coleman, Jr. for 35 years. To this union, 11 children were born and 1 extended child.
She leaves to cherish her memory, her children , Elmer Lee Coleman, III, (Laverne), Percell Coleman, Sr. (Janice), Joyce Guyton, Regina Gathright, Veronica Coleman, Shenitha Coleman, Kathyleen Coleman, Pattie Trim (Fabian), Rodney Coleman, Sr. (Natalia), Richard Coleman, Sr. (Tiffany), Joshua Alexandria. Brothers: Will Donald (Los Angeles Ca), Morris Ray Donald (Gertrude) of Pomona Ca, sisters: Ester Cook, Jarse Donald, Gloria Thompson, brother-in-law: Monday Coleman (Geneive), sister-in-laws: Freddie Price, Ola Mae Willis of Barnett, Mississippi, Rose Mae Shaw of Chicago, IL, Bobbie Coleman of Mesquite, TX, 21 grandchildren, 18 great grandchildren, a host of nieces, nephews, relatives, friends, pastors and Believers of the Body of Christ.
Preceding her in death were her parents, Wilford & Hazel Donald, her son Lawrence Coleman Sr., 3 sisters: Sadie Mae Brundy, Mary Dee Espadron, Rose Mae Jemison, and 2 brothers: Jerry and Wilford Donald. Funeral service will be held Saturday March 3, 2018, 10am at Asia Baptist Church, 1400 Sere St. New Orleans, LA 70122. Visitation begins at 9am until the hour of service. Pastor Joshua Palmer, Officiating. Interment: Mt. Olivet Cemetery.
