George Sims, – 64, entered into eternal rest on Sunday, December 9, 2018 at Tulane Medical Center. Born in New Orleans, LA, George was a member of Christian Unity Baptist Church of New Orleans. He leaves to cherish his memory, his sister, Myrtle Bienemy; brother, Adam Lindsey (Jackie); nieces and nephews, Evangelist/Pastor Hilda Miller-Jones (Frederick (Ricky) Jones), Gilda Wagner, Helen (Trina) Ellis (Alvin), and Michael Gurley Sr.; and devoted friends, Larry Asiole Sr and Jules Cochera. George is preceded in death by his parents, Hilda Sims Lindsey and Clemon Sims Sr.; brothers, Clemon Jr. and Melvin Sims; sisters, Joyce Ceaser (Edward), Helen D. Mcloud (James) and Mary Ann Ceaser (Joseph).
Relatives, friends, Christian Unity B.C., Life Resources, and Faith Hope Love Ministry are invited to attend his Celebration of Life on Thursday, December 20, 2018 at 11:00AM at Christian Unity B.C., 1700 Conti St., New Orleans, LA. Kevin Stephens, Sr. officiating.
Visitation will be held from 10:00AM until the hour of service. Interment to follow at English Turn Cemetery, Braithwaite, LA.
