She was born on July 1, 1952, in New Orleans, Louisiana, where she was affectionately known as the “Pigeon Town Mayor,” a title that reflected her vibrant personality and eccentric sense of style. Faye was a dedicated educator and retired schoolteacher who touched and inspired the lives of countless children. A faithful servant of the Lord, she led many souls to Christ and lived her life as a testament to her deep and unwavering faith. Known for her bold, blunt, and outspoken nature, Faye left a lasting impression on all who had the privilege of knowing her. She leaves to cherish her memory a host of loving relatives and dear friends.Relatives and friends are invited to attend funeral services on Saturday, May 2, 2026, at Historic Second Baptist Church, 2025 Marengo Street. The viewing will begin at 8:00 a.m., followed by the service at 10:00 a.m. A traditional jazz processional will follow, beginning at Harrell Park.Interment will take place at Providence Memorial Park.
