Vernell Bradstreet

Vernell “Nell” Bradstreet Sr., age 62, entered his heavenly home on Wednesday, May 6, 2026. He worked for Brad’s Lawn Care, he was a member of the ILA Local 3000 and he also worked at Bayside Health Care Center in the housekeeping department. He leaves to cherish his precious memories, his son, Vernell Bradstreet Jr; daughter, Brandie(Christopher) King; 3 sisters, Mary(Royal)Milton Sr., Patricia Bradstreet, Poppy Nicholas; 2 brothers, Vernon McClain and Ronald Terry; 1 sister-in-law, Sharon Bradstreet; 7 grandchildren; A’Shiia Riggins, Genesis, Vailea, Vernell III Bradstreet, Davon, Trevon Thompson and Ricardo King; 3 great grandchildren; Miyori, Nayomi and Myella Thompson; and a host of nieces, nephews and cousins. He was preceded in death by his parents Keeno Bradstreet Sr. and Emma(Finley) Lawrence; stepfather Welton Lawrence Sr.; sister, Kay Artemese Bradstreet; 4 brothers, Keeno Jr, Leonard Sr, Bernard Bradstreet and Steven Geary, grandparents; Lou Coleman and Cicero Finley Sr.; great grandmother; Lizzie Matthews and 1 great nephew; Joshua Bradstreet. Friends, Pastors, Officers and Members of Dropping The Net Ministries, St. Matthews Baptist Church, Rock of Ages Baptist Church and all neighboring churches, also L.B.Landry Class of 1981 and Alumni are invited to attend the home going celebration on Saturday, May 23, 2026, at 10a.m.at St. James Methodist Church, 1925 Ursulines Ave., New Orleans, La. Visitation from 9a.m until the start of service. Interment: Westlawn Memorial Park and Mausoleum, 1225 Whitney Ave., Terrytown, La. Services entrusted to Heritage Funeral Directors.
