Vernell Bradstreet

Vernell Bradstreet Sr., born in New Orleans, Louisiana, on July 14, 1963, transitioned peacefully in New Orleans, La. at the age of 62, on Wednesday, May 6, 2026. He was the beloved son of the late Keeno Bradstreet Sr. and Emma (Finley) Lawrence. He confidently accepted our Lord Jesus Christ as his savior at an early age. Vernell was preceded in death by his father Keeno Bradstreet Sr.; mother, Emma (Finley) Lawrence; sister, Kay Artemese Bradstreet; and his three older brothers, Keeno St., Leonard Sr. and Bernard Bradstreet. Vernell leaves behind cherished memories with his surviving siblings: Mary(Royal Sr.), Patricia Bradstreet, Poppy Nicholas, Vernon McClain and Ronald Terry. He was the father of Vernell Bradstreet Jr. and Brandie (Christopher) King. Vernell was also the grandfather of A’Shiia Riggins, Genesis, Vailea, Vernell III Bradstreet, Davon, Trevon Thompson and Ricardo King. Great grandfather of Miyori, Nayomi and Myella Thompson who will continue to carry on his legacy. Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, May 23, 2026 at 10a.m., at St. James Methodist Church,1925 Ursuline Ave. New Orleans, LA. 70116. visitation will begin at 10a.m until the hour of service.
