Stephen James Amedee, Sr.

Stephen James Amedee, Sr. a brick mason and hotel engineer, died Monday, June 13th. He was 66.

Beloved husband of Tanya Hunter-Amedee; Father of Stephen James Amedee, Jr.; Grandfather of Stephen James Amedee, III. Son of the late Clarence Tobias and Leverna Valentine Gilyot Amedee. Son-in-law of the late Mr. & Mrs. Lonnie Hunter of Baltimore, Maryland. Brother of Donald Peter, Glenn Mark, Val Ann and the late Clarence Tobias, III and David Lyle Amedee.Brother-in-law of Annette LeDuff Amedee. Uncle of Jayce Poree, Jr. Also survived by one aunt, Anna Mae Gilyot Hubbard, and a host of cousins and friends.
 
 

• Relatives and friends of the family, also employees of the former Ambassador Hotel, Newman School, Rush Construction Company, U.S. Postal Service, subcontractors of Amedee Construction, Hilton Riverside Hotel and WWL-TV, are invited to attend the funeral services on Wednesday, June 22, 2022 at 10:00am at Corpus Christi Catholic Church, 2022 St. Bernard Avenue.

• Visitation will be at 8am until the hour of service.

• Interment St. Louis Cemetery No. 3.
