Sandra Louise Lewis

Sandra Louise Lewis – age 67, heard the Lord whisper in her ear, “It’s time to come home and rest.” and she went to join Him in heaven on Tuesday, September 25, 2018.

She was a lifelong educator and worked as a special education teacher in the New Orleans Public School System and retired after 30 years.

Sandra is survived by her husband Clinton “Chico” Lewis Sr., her son, Damien “Tweet” Justin; granddaughters Alizé Baltimore and Jamya “Mya” Smith; sister Cheryl Lewis; ex-husband Teddy Justin and a host of nieces, nephews, family members and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Edward and Katheryn Lewis, sister, Beverly Goodson, brother, Edward “Bobby” Lewis Jr.; and nephews, Wayne Taylor and Shawn Lewis.

We invite family and friends to celebrate Sandra’s life on Wednesday, October 3, 2018 at 11:00AM at Church of Christ, 4636 Elysian Fields Avenue, New Orleans, LA.  Visitation will be held from 10:00AM until the hour of service. Interment will be private. Repass immediately following the service at Gabby’s, 6600 Morrison Road, New Orleans, LA.
