Rita Jackson Craig , 84, was called from labor to rest on April 2, 2023 at Touro Hospital. Mrs. Craig was born October 22, 1938 in New Orleans, LA. Mrs. Craig leaves to cherish her precious memories, three sons Raymond Jackson, Rannell and Walter Craig, Jr., one daughter, Lynda (John) Perry; son-in-law, Larry W. Cooper, Sr.; sister, Trudy Granderson and three sister-in-laws, Margaret Craig, Bertha Jackson and Nita Variste; 16 grandchildren, 46 great grandchildren, and 1 great-great grandchild. She was preceded in death by her husband, Walter D. Craig, Sr.; daughter, Patricia Jackson Cooper; parents, James Sr. and Olivia Jackson; brothers, Willie Variste, James, Raymond, and Isaiah Jackson.

• Funeral will be held on April 17, 2023 at 10:00 am; New Hope Baptist Church, 1807 Reverend John C. Raphael Jr Way, New Orleans, LA 70113.

• Visitation will start at 9:00 am until the hour of service.
