Reverend Victoria L. C. Dorsey

Reverend Victoria L. C. Dorsey ,68, a long-time early childhood educator, departed this earthly life in New Orleans, LA on May 2, 2022. She leaves behind a lifetime of memories for her son Willie P. Dorsey Jr. whom she deeply loved & cherished; daughter-in-law Shanta; grandchildren Sheena, Jasime, Brittany, and Vantrell; ten great grandchildren; siblings Alfred, Linda, Robert, Brenda, Jean, Gilbert Sr., Mary, Jasmine, and Thomas Jr.; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and close friends; her Christian Unity Baptist church family; and the children and families she impacted over her 40-year career as an educator, including at her own learning center–Nana’s Loft. She was preceded in death by her husband Wille P. Dorsey Sr.; parents Edith S. Collins and Thomas B. Collins; and siblings Janice, Jacqueline, and Carol Ann.
 

• Her funeral service will be held on Saturday, May 14, 2022, at 10:00 AM at Christian Unity Baptist Church, 1700 Conti St., New Orleans 70112. Pastor Dr. Stephens officiating.

• Visitation is from 9:00 AM until the hour of service.

• Burial immediately followed at Resthaven Cemetery.
