Ralph Bryan

Ralph J. Bryan, Sr., 83, passed away May 23, 2025, in New Orleans. Born and raised in the city’s Seventh Ward on November 3, 1941, to the late Eolar Miller Bryan and Percy Bryan, he attended Valena C. Jones Elementary School and Booker T. Washington High School. He was a devoted father, brother, husband, neighbor, and friend. He is survived by his children, Ralph Bryan Jr., Karen Bryan Chambers, and Robin Bryan; his brother, Percy Bryan; seven grandchildren; and several great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, Millie R. Bryan; his parents; and his sisters, Rosemary Varnado and Doris Bryan. Please join us in celebrating his life and legacy. A Homegoing Celebration will be held Tuesday, June 3, 2025, at New Hope Baptist Church, 1807 John Carl Raphael Way, New Orleans, LA 70113. Visitation will run from 9:00 to 10:00 a.m., with the service at 10:00 a.m. Interment follows at Mount Olivet Cemetery. A repast will be served at NOLA Skyline, 10001 Lake Forest Blvd., Suite 1100, from 1:00 to 4:00 p.m.
