Myrtis Holmes Maclies

Myrtis Holmes Maclies passed away peacefully on Monday March 26, 2018 at the age of 93 years old.  She leaves behind two loving sons; Samuel Maclies Jr. (Mary) and Charlies Maclies (Roxanne) of Houston, TX. She also leaves behind 6 grandchildren; Louis, Ulanza Holmes, Chenits Holmes Banks, Samuel Maclies III, Natoshia Maclies-Joseph, LaDonna Maclies Jeanmarie, and Tamara Maclies.

Myrtis was preceded in death by her husband Samuel Maclies Sr., her parents Eugene Holmes, Sr. and Lucinda Williams Holmes; sons Louis Holmes (Dorothy) and Donald Maclies (Betty) and grandson Chad Maclies and sisters; Era Carter, Arcola Holmes, Essie Lee Holmes-Magee, Lois Holmes and Helen Holmes-Gooden, and two brothers Eugene Holmes Jr. and Kermit Holmes Sr. Relatives and friends of the family  are invited to attend the Home-going Service  on Saturday April 7,2018 at 10:30am at Second Morning Star Baptist Church; 2616 St. Andrew St.  Rev. Winston Ricks, Officiating.

Visitation from 9:30am until the hour of service.

Interment:  Restlawn Park.
