Mary Louise Bradstreet Milton

Mary Louise Bradstreet Milton, age 73, entered into her Heavenly home on July 11, 2026, peacefully at her residence, surrounded by the love and presence of her family.

Mary was a devoted wife, loving mother, cherished grandmother, and compassionate caregiver whose life was dedicated to serving others. Her calling to care for people began many years ago as a professional caregiver at Charity Hospital in New Orleans, where she provided comfort, support, and compassion to those in need. She later continued her passion for caring for others by becoming a nurse, dedicating her final 34 years of service to the nursing profession. Through her work, she touched countless lives with her kindness, strength, patience, and unwavering commitment to helping others.

Beyond her dedication to caring for others, Mary also knew how to enjoy life and create lasting memories. She loved spending time at Lucky Star Casino, where she became a familiar and cherished presence. The employees there knew her, appreciated her warm spirit, and loved seeing her smiling face. Her kindness, laughter, and friendly personality left an impression on everyone she encountered.

Mary’s greatest joy was her family. She leaves to cherish her precious memories her beloved husband, Royal Milton Sr.; her children, Jamisha (Richard Jones Jr.) of Rincon, Georgia; Jacqueline (Calvin Crump Jr.); and Royal Milton Jr. (Suncerry); and her beloved adopted children, Kia and Brie Stradford, Tammy Bew, James Otis Williams Jr., Latonya Neal, and Erica Walters.

She also leaves behind her two goddaughters, Tarsha Bradstreet and LaQuanta McKay; her two sisters, Patricia Bradstreet and Poppy Nicholas; her devoted niece and caregiver, Katrina Milton; her beloved godmother, Stella Lee; her devoted first cousin, Verna Whitley; as well as 12 nieces and 4 nephews.

Mary was a proud grandmother of 13 grandchildren: Tyrone Ellis Jr., Toineika England, Hakeem White, Tyranika Landry, John, Denzel, Devin, Anthony, Royal III, Roynardo Sr., Royneisha, Roshantia Milton, and Andranika Allen. She was also blessed with 22 great-grandchildren, who brought her endless love and joy.

Mary was preceded in death by her parents, Keno Bradstreet Sr. and Emma Lawrence; her stepfather, Welton Lawrence Sr.; her brothers, Keno Bradstreet Sr., Leonard Bradstreet Sr., Bernard Bradstreet, and Vernell Bradstreet Sr.; her sister, Arthemise Bradstreet; her grandparents, Lou Coleman and Cicero Finley; her great-grandmother, Lizzy Matthew; her aunt, Lizzy Smith; her godfather, Charles Lee Jr.; and her great-nephew, Joshua Bradstreet.

Mary was a proud graduate of Booker T. Washington High School and Charity School of Nursing. Her dedication to caregiving and nursing was a reflection of her generous heart and her lifelong commitment to serving others.
