Marchand Keawanta Nelson, affectionately known as “Beast Baby, was a beloved mother, sister, niece, cousin, and friend whose life was defined by unconditional love, kindness, strength, and devotion to family. Marchand was a beautiful soul who touched countless lives through her caring and generous spirit. She had a special way of making everyone around her feel welcomed, appreciated, and loved. Her laughter, warmth, and unforgettable personality brought comfort and joy to all who knew her. One of Marchand’s greatest passions was cooking. She expressed love through every meal she prepared, bringing family and friends together around her table. Whether serving loved ones at home or sharing her talents throughout her career, her food was a reflection of the love she carried in her heart. Marchand received her education in New Orleans, Louisiana, and attended O. Perry WalkerHigh School, where her resilient and spirited nature began to shine. Above all, Marchand cherished her children, who were the center of her world and the pride of her life. She leaves to treasure her loving memory of her three beloved children: Trenton, Semaj, and James Nelson. She is also survived by her devoted siblings: Lavinia Nelson, Laverne Blunt, Darnell Nelson, Tiffany (Theophilus) Spears, Tyrone (Lynette) Wilkins, Taisha (Terrence) Coffil, Terrance Wilkins, Takeisha (James) Nelson-Raiford, Jerome (Tanisha) Wilkins, Julia Nelson, Tyrone Nelson, Linda Nelson, Walter (Dominique) Nelson, Tamara Nelson, Rene Nelson, and Peter (Chrishawn)Nelson. Marchand also leaves behind her loving aunt, Rene (Raymond) Brown; her godparents, GaryJones Sr. and Vanessa Lewis; along with a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family members, and dear friends who will forever cherish the memories and love she shared with them. She was preceded in death by her beloved mother, Linda Burrell, and her father, Tyrone Burrell. Although Marchand is no longer with us physically, her love, laughter, compassion, and beautiful spirit will continue to live on through her children, family, and everyone blessed to have known her. Her memory will forever remain a source of comfort, strength, and love.
