Joyce Jackson

Joyce Antoinette “Sliver Fox” Jackson, was born on September 14th, 1947, in New Orleans LA, preceded in death by her late father George Sr. and late mother Louise Jarrow LaFrance. She departed this earthy rim with our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on May 3, 2025. West Jefferson Medical Center at the of 77. Joyce graduated from George Washington Carver High School. She dedicated her life as a Forklift Operator for Folgers Coffee Company over 20 years until retirement. Never the less Joyce live a full and active life, enjoying family and friend. While serving as a deaconess at Greater Evergreen Baptist Church. She was also a member “Powder to Exhale and Exhale NOLA” where woman became Queen. She was married to the late Melvin Lee Jackson. Joyce leaves to cherish 5 children Raymond Jr, Stewart, Corey Stewart (Lisa), Renell Stewart (Tamika) Lanell N’Diaye (Lamine). late Troy Stewart (Rochelle), Brother’s George Jr and Pierre LaFrance. She also survived by a host of Grandchildren, Great Grandchildren and Great Great Grandchildren. Joyce leaves a host of nieces, nephew, cousin family and friend. Family and friends are invited to attend the Celebration of life home going service for Joyce Antoinette “Sliver Fox” Jackson on May 21, 2025.
