Josephine Tatum Gibson

Josephine Tatum Gibson departed this life and entered into eternal rest on Monday, April 11, 2022, at age 91. Josephine was born in Tylertown, Mississippi to the late Eric Young and Rosa Bell Bridges Tatum on August 11, 1930. She is survived by two daughters, Jacquelyn Gibson Breashears (Albert) and Gwendolyn Gibson, six grandchildren, Robert E. Tatum Jr, Isis T. Banks (Brian), Chantell E. Elzy (Hardy), Aisha Y. Gibson, Jacqueta G. McClendon (Croix), Jasmine J. Green, 13 great-grandchildren, and six great- great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her husband Nicholas. Gibson Sr., her son Robert E. Tatum Sr., and seven sisters and three brothers.
 

• Family and friends are invited to attend a celebration of life on Friday, April 22, 2022, at 11:00 AM at New Hope Baptist Church, 1807 John C. Raphael Jr. Way., New Orleans, LA 70113.

• Visitation will begin at 9:00 AM.until the hour of service.

• Interment will follow at Mount Olivet Cemetery, New Orleans, LA.
