Jennifer Marie Laners Thomas

Jennifer Marie Laners Thomas passed away on Saturday, June 1, 2024. She lost her battle with Cancer at Touro Infirmary at 50 years of age. Jennifer, the only child of Ms. Mary Ellen Laners and Mr. Arle Thomas, Sr., was a lifelong New Orleanian who embraced Christ early in life. She was a proud alum of Eleanor McMain Secondary School and a McDonogh #35 Senior High School graduate. Her academic journey culminated in a Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology: Applied Behavioral Analysis from Kaplan University, where she graduated with honors. Survivors include her husband, Lowell Thomas, Jr., who loved her deeply; two stepchildren, Lowell Thomas, III and Lachell Thomas, who cherished her; her Father, Arle Thomas, Sr., and stepmother, Linda Thomas, who will miss her dearly; sister and brother, Timeka Thomas and Arle Thomas, Jr., who were her closest confidants; her second mother/aunt Pamela Laners-Somerville; uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews, a host of cousins, and friends, all of whom mourn her passing. Funeral service will be Friday, June 21, 2024, at 11:00am at The Kingdom Rock Ministries, 3611 St. Ferdinand St, New Orleans, LA 70126. Visitation will begin at 10:00am until the hour of service.
