Janice Bevrotte

Janice Janet Long Bevrotte, of New Orleans, La, passed away peacefully on Friday, December 26, 2025, at the age of 93. Janice, affectionally known as “Janice, Jan-Jan, Baby J, and Ms. Janice” was the daughter of the late James Junius Long and Marie Beulah Orticke. She is survived by her son, Maceo Raymond Bevrotte (Jennifer); three grandchildren, Carrie Fernandez (Jerome); Erin Bevrotte; and Ryan Bevrotte (Daisy); six great-grandchildren, Aaliya Cryer and Gavin Fernandez; Camren and Sydney Bevrotte; Daniela Serrato; and Mario Anaya. Janice will also be fondly missed by a host of nieces, nephews, and many extended family members.

Janice was preceded in death by her husband, Charles “Packy” Bevrotte III, son, Ricardo Joseph Bevrotte, and sister, Ateja Long Bush.

Family and friends are invited to attend the Celebration of Life and Mass of Christian Burial at St Raymond & St Leo the Great Catholic Church, 2916 Paris Avenue, New Orleans, La at 10:00AM on Saturday, January 17, 2026. Visitation will begin at 8:30AM, followed by Recitation of the Rosary and Reflections until the hour of service. Interment will be Providence Memorial Park & Mausoleum. No repast.
