Pastor James Andrew Robinson Sr., age 75, entered into eternal rest on April 25, 2025, in New Orleans, Louisiana. A beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother, and spiritual leader, Pastor Robinson Sr. lived a life devoted to faith, family, and service to others. A proud veteran of the United States Navy, Pastor Robinson Sr. served his country during the Vietnam War. His life was marked by unwavering faith, compassion for others, and a calling to spiritual leadership that touched many lives in the New Orleans community and beyond. Pastor James Robinson Sr. leaves to cherish his memory four devoted children: Tarshia Robinson-Skipper (Cleveland Skipper), Ivory Robinson-Delaney (Prophet Frank C. Delaney), James A. Robinson Jr., and Ashley Robinson. He is also survived by his loving sister, Willie Pearl Allen (Ananias Allen); nine grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, extended family, and dear friends who will remember him with love and gratitude. He was preceded in death by his parents, Superintendent Henry Robinson Sr., and Missionary Sadie Robinson; his beloved wife, Shernia Robinson; five siblings: Dorothy Mae Taylor, Henry Robinson Jr., Joe Robinson, Brenda Robinson, and Alfred Robinson Sr.; and his grandson, Jyron Robinson. Though he will be deeply missed, Pastor Robinson’s legacy of love, strength, and service will live on in the hearts of all who knew him. A Homegoing Celebration will be held on Friday, May 16, 2025, at Prayer Tower COGIC, 8708 Willow Street, New Orleans, LA 70118. Public Viewing: 9:30 AM – 10:30 AM, Celebration of Life Service: 10:30 AM, Repast to follow: Prayer Tower Fellowship Hall, Private burial for the family.
