Robert Lee Gorden Jr., a native of New Orleans, Louisiana born July 24, 1945, to the married union of the late Robert Lee Gorden Sr. and Johnnie Mae Robinson Gorden in Memphis, TN
Robert is preceded by his love Beverly Sylvester, his sisters Betty Ann Harrison, Lizzie Mae Alexander, Mary Lee Charles, and his brother-in-law Joseph ‘Skippy’ Bailey. His survivor Ellie Gorden Palmer, Jacqueline Lewis (Altis), Scherline Bailey, sisters, Tommy Nash and James Robinson Jr. brothers, children Robert 3rd (Bridgett), Raymond (Lillie Mae), Gerald Sylvester, Kevin and Antione Jackson, sons, Danielle, Raynell, Kizzy Jackson, LaToya Jackson Mack (Mackarthur), Tanya Gorden Withrow (Fred), Kantrell Gorden Rojo (Raymond), with 44 Grandchildren, 50 Great Grandchildren and 6 Great Great Granchildren and several friends.
Robert was employed with the Dept. of Streets and Recreation and National Fencing Co. in the City of N. O. for where he later retired. His hobbies and pass time were football …A Die Hard..Who Dat…Go Saints Fan.. for Life!
- Service will be March 4, 2022 at 11:00 A.M. at Grace of NOLA, 2514 Congress St., New Orleans, LA., 70119.
- Visitation will be at 10:00 A.M. until the hour of service.
- Interment: Mt Airy Memorial Park Cemetery, 13635 Old Spanish Trail, Boutte, LA., 70039.
