Ollie Deborah “Bibbie” Smith, , age 65, entered into eternal rest on Saturday, April 24, 2021, at her home, surrounded by her children. She was a native of New Orleans, LA and a resident of Chalmette, LA. She was a 1974 graduate of L.E. Rabouin High School. She retired from the Louis Armstrong New Orleans International Airport as a Sr. Communications Specialist in July of 2019, after 23 years of service. Ollie touched many lives with her warm and loving spirit. She enjoyed cooking and entertaining. She was born on February 22, 1956 to the late Ollie and Clinton T. Smith, Sr. Ollie was the loving mother of Darian Smith (Toya), Raushanah S. Walker (Jenee’), Zarinah R. Newman (Ernest) and Edward G. Robinson, Jr.; stepmother of Schwanda Dison; grandmother of Domonique and Dajene Thomas, Darian (Shank), Darian, Jessie, Malik, Di’era, Damari, and Devin Smith, Barry Rousseve, III, Celina and Macy Robinson, Camryn and Callie Newman, and Jeree’ Walker; step grandmother of Dyamond Watts; sister of Lee Autry Hampton (Carrie), Victoria S. Horton (Randolph), Clinton, Jr. (Kelly), Robert, II (Marion), Emmett, Sr. (Larnette), Roy (Denotrice), Donna, Doddie and Harold, Sr. (Trina) Smith; adopted sister, Mary Albert; godmother of Valerie Dorsey and Donisha Duckworth. She is also survived by eight great grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Curtis E. Spurlock, Jr.

Relatives and friends of the family, pastors, officers and members or Galilee Baptist Church, Beacon Light International Baptist Cathedral, Brooks Shaw Temple United Methodist Church, employees of Louis Armstrong New Orleans International Airport, Ochsner Medical Center-Jefferson Hwy. and Poydras Properties, LLC are invited to attend the funeral services.

 

  • Funeral Services will be at Beacon Light International Baptist Cathedral, 1937 Mirabeau Ave. on Saturday, May 8, 2021 at 10:00 a.m.

 

  • Visitation will begin at 8:00 a.m.

 

  • Interment: Providence Memorial Park and Mausoleum, 8200 Airline Dr., Metairie, LA 70003.

 

  • Due to Covid-19 Pandemic, all attendees must face mask mask and practice social distancing at all times...
