Myron Griffin

Myron Griffin was born on May 14, 1961 to the union of Ulysses Griffin, Sr. and the late Dorothy Mae Alveris Griffin. He was united in holy matrimony to Joycelyn Baker Griffin on September 7, 2013. He Served in the United States Marine Corps and the United States Army Reserve. He was a proud graduate of Phoenix High School class of 1979. He was employed by the Plaquemines Parish Sheriff’s Office from 1999 until his passing.

Lt. Myron Griffin entered into eternal rest on Wednesday, February 2, 2022. He leaves to cherish in his memory his loving wife, Joycelyn Baker Griffin, his father, Ulysses Griffin, Sr., his children Thaly Griffin, Caresse Hodges, Glenn A., Davion, Bridget and Glenda Baker, and Kiana B. Suggs, sister Marlene Jones (Keith), brothers Merlin Ben and Ulysses Griffin, Jr. (Peggy), sister-in-law’s Evelyn Brooks and Patricia Edwards, brother-in-law’s, George Davis III and Karl Brooks.

 

  • Plaquemines Parish and St. Bernard Parish Sheriff’s Offices, family and friends are invited to attend the funeral services that will be held Saturday, February 12, 2022, at 11:00AM at Christian Fellowship Family Worship Center, 5816 East Judge Perez Dr., Violet, LA, 70092.

 

  • Visitation at 10:00am until the hour of service.

 

  • Host pastor, Henry Ballard, Jr., officiant, Michael Jiles, Jr.

 

  • . Interment at Southeast Louisiana Veterans Cemetery Slidell, LA.
