Mose Brown, Jr.

Mose Brown, Jr.  – entered into eternal rest in the Lord on Tuesday, May 7, 2019. He was born on January 9, 1935 to the union of the late Lula Swanson Brown and Mose Brown, Sr. in Churchill, MS. A former member of the International Longshoremen Association, Mose worked as a longshoreman for 29 years. He leaves to cherish his memory, his wife, Katie Ruth Irving Brown; two daughters, Detrick Brown Myers (Carey) and Ashika Brown Mitchell (Greg); two sons, Mark Brown (Joyce) and Ronald Brown; mother-in-law, Ruth Shaw Ward; sisters-in-law, Patricia Shaw Robertson (Bernard) and Linda Shaw Jackson; brother-in-law, Rev. Maurice Irving (Dolores); and a host of other relatives and friends.

Family, friends, members of New Hope B.C., members of Local 3000, SODEXO staff at Tulane University and others are invited to attend the his funeral service on Friday, May 17, 2019 at 10:00AM at New Hope Baptist Church, 1807 Rev. John Raphael Jr. Way, New Orleans, LA.

Visitation will be held from 8:00AM until the hour of service. Interment: Salem Cemetery, Stampley, MS.
