Mary Alice Johnson Carter, – 78, entered into eternal rest on Sunday, December 2, 2018. Born in Pass Christian, MS to Sidney Johnson Sr. and Eva S. Johnson, Mary was employed by the Fairmont-Roosevelt Hotel for 30 years. She leaves to cherish her memory, son, Gregory (Iris); grandchildren, Joseph “Peanut” Holmes and Johanna Lee; niece, Dina Johnson; cousin, Jean Henry; dear friends, Martha Williams and Carletta Hunter; daughter in her heart, Karen Emerson; and a host of other relatives and friends. She is preceded in death by her parents; her brother, Sidney Johnson Jr.; sons, Joseph, Rodney and Gerald; and grandson, Gerald Lee.
Family and friends are invited to attend her funeral service on Saturday, December 15, 2018 at 11:00AM at Pilgrim’s Rest Baptist Church No.2, 2200 Louisiana Ave., New Orleans, LA. Rev. Michael C. Barlow officiating.
Visitation will be held from 10:00AM until the hour of service.
