Lawrence Edward Corban Jr passed away peacefully in New Orleans at the Veterans Memorial Hospital on July 13,2021. He was 74 years old. Larry was a United States Navy Petty Officer and Vietnam War Veteran. He was a Chef on the U.S.S Braine (DD-630) during his service. He was also awarded the Navy Unit Medal of Commendation for heroism in action. He was a lifelong resident of his favorite city of New Orleans. He cherished and enjoyed his Family, fishing, cooking, and gardening. Larry was the son of the late Lawrence and Alma Corban Sr, and the twin brother of the late Martha Eskine. Larry was survived by his son Lawrence Corban III (Lori A. Corban) and his grandson Beau Corban. Lawrence Corban also survived by numerous nieces and nephews along with friends.
- Relatives and friends are invited to attend services to be held on August 9, 2021 at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church 1908 Short Street, Kenner La 70062 from 10am-12pm.
- Immediately following the service he will be laid to final rest at the Southeast Louisiana Veterans Cemetery 34888 Grantham College Dr., Slidell, La 70460
