Our beloved Kurt Anthony Romain entered into peaceful rest on Monday, June 4, 2018 at the age of 54. He was born and raised in New Orleans, LA. He is survived by his wife, Lisa Jackson Romain, his father, Arnold Romain and one sister, Angie Romain. Kurt was preceded in death by his mother, Gwendolyn Romain; his son, Matthew Charleston Romain; and his brother, Chris Romain. He leaves behind one aunt, Isabelle Clark (George); a mother-in-law, Gloria M. Jackson; two sisters-in-law, Rae Jackson Coates (Derrick) and Moneka Jackson Baxter, two brothers-in-law, Charles L. Jackson (Toya) and Martin Paul Jackson. He is also survived by a host of nieces, nephews and cousins.

Kurt graduated from Holy Cross High School and was employed with the United States Postal Service for many years. Kurt loved people and animals. He truly never met a stranger. His passion for the less fortunate was always evident. He believed, “It is in giving that we receive”. A graveside funeral service is scheduled for 11:00 AM Tuesday, June 12, 2018 at Mt. Olivet Cemetery in New Orleans, LA. A repass will follow at Chateau Menteur Event Hall. All are welcome to attend and celebrate Kurt’s homegoing. Flowers and condolences may be sent to Mt.
