Joyce Stemley Dickerson a life-long resident of New Orleans peacefully passed away on August 6, 2018 at home. She leaves to cherish her memory her devoted husband Reginald Dickerson Sr.; her loving sons Fredrick, Brian and the late Eddie Stemley. One loving granddaughter Dawnishia Davis and four Sisters Annie Mae (Roosevelt) Randolph, Dorothy (Raymond) Landry, Ellen (Willie) Stemley, Patricia Henry, and one brother Clarence Williams. Three foster Sisters Juanita Cunningham, Deiontrenece (Blake) Franklin, Elvera (A.J.) Williams, and one brother Stanley (Ann) Lewis. She is preceded in death by her parents the late Annie Stemley, Percy McKay and her Foster parents August & Olivia Gabriel. She was the Granddaughter of the Late Pinkey and Joseph Taylor Sr.

She was also preceded in death by two sisters Edna Mae Johnson, Augusta Kerry, one brother-in-law Gerald Henry, and one foster brother Anthony Gaskin. She is also survived by a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Relatives, friends, staff, and employees of Sewerage and Water Board, Touro & Tulane Oncology Center, Compassion Hospice, and Israelite Baptist Church, Macedonia Baptist Church, and O.E.S. Scottish Rite Freemasonry are invited to attend the Celebration of Life Service honoring Mrs. Stemley-Dickerson on Saturday, August 11, 2018 at Israelite Baptist Church 2100 Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd, New Orleans, LA 70113 at 10:00am. Visitation will be held from 9:00am until the hour of service. Interment will be held at Resthaven Cemetery in New Orleans, Louisiana.
