Felix Santiago, III, “Toot” and affectionately known as “Phil” by his wife, passed away at the age of 82 on Tuesday, April 5, 2022, at 11:05 p.m. at Northshore Hospital Slidell, LA. Mr. Santiago was born on January 8, 1940, to the late Felix and Emelda Richard Santiago, Jr. Mr. Santiago is survived by his loving and devoted wife of 44 years, Dianne M. Santiago; his sons, Felix Santiago, IV (Tina) Andre Santiago (Tracy); his daughters, Joann Wilson (Mervin), Shawn Santiago, Regina Junior and Lakiva Johnson; his siblings, Clifford Hobson, Shirley Britton, Angela and Shelia Watson; 19 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren; his uncle, Joseph Richard, Sr and the brother-in-law of Donald and Cynthia M. Castle; he was preceded in death by his son Johnny Oliver; and his sibling’s Calvin Hobson, Mary Santiago and Elizabeth Roth;. Also survived by a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends. Employees of Liberty Bank and Trust, United Way, Lower 9 Senior Citizen Center, St. Tammany Hospital, Folger Coffee Company, Center Line MFG of Houston, Texas City of Frisco, members of Greater Little Zion Missionary Baptist Church and all neighboring churches of St. Bernard, LA.
 

  • Funeral will be held at New Hope Baptist Church, 1807 Rev. John Raphael, Jr. Wy, Rev. Jamaal Weathersby, Pastor, on Saturday, March 26, 2022 at 11:00 am.

 

  • Visitation will be held at 9:00 AM. until the hour of service.

 

  • Interment will follow at Verret Baptist Cemetery, 3737 Bayou Road, Verret, LA.
