Dorvin Delida Bodden

Dorvin Delida Bodden, – age 91, was called to her heavenly home on Monday, July 29, 2019 in Indian Trail, North Carolina. Born in 1928 in Utila Bay Island, Honduras to the late Robert and Adelaid Alexis, Dorvin grew up in Roatan and later migrated to the United States. Known as a lover of cooking, she was loved by many, but God loves her best. She leaves to cherish her legacy of memories to her children: George Bodden, Patricia Bodden-Nurse (Grantley), Julia Bodden, Kirkwood Bodden Jr. (Agustina), Sarah Alexis, and Kennedy Stamp (Sandra); stepsons: Edward and Morrell Bodden; 11 grandchildren: Dennis, Marie, Ayana, Randi, Kenard, Kennedy, Denise, Dominique, Adelyn, George Dennis, and Kirk Jr.; great-grandchild: Kirkwood; and a host of other relatives and friends. Dorvin is preceded in death by her husband, Kirkwood H. Bodden; brothers, Thomas James, Eddie, Rupert, Robert, Nelson and Lionel Alexis; and sisters, Mary Walter, Nelcia Palmer and Hortense Webster.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, August 3, 2019 at 10:00AM at Faith Temple Church of God, 800 South Jamie Blvd., Avondale, LA.

Visitation will be held from 9:00AM until the hour of service.

Interment will follow at Mount Airy Memorial Park Cemetery, 13635 Old Spanish Trail, Boutte, LA.

    My deepest condolences to my dear friend Pat Bodden-Nurse and the entire family on the loss of a dear loved one (I know of as “Tia”). My prayers and love are with you throughout this most difficult time. God is faithful and his Grace and peace be with you always. .
