Dorothy Booker departed her life at 101 years of age on November 3, 2022, surrounded by her family and nurse Alexis Cornelious. Dorothy was born April 11, 1921 in New Orleans, Louisiana to Clifford and Hattie Henderson. She married Robert Booker Jr in 1941 and they moved to San Diego, California where Robert was stationed in the United States Army. After 57 wonderful years of marriage Robert departed his life causing Dorothy to return to her home of New Orleans in 2007. Dorothy spent the last years of her life surrounded in love with her beloved sister Hazel White, niece and fulltime caregivers Corliss and nephew Lawrence Gaines. Dorothy loved the PACE program and traveling on cruises. She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband, and 13 siblings.
- . Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Mass of Christian Burial on Monday, November 14, 2022 at Saint Raymond – St. Leo the Great Catholic Church, 2916 Paris Ave, New Orleans, LA 70122.
- Visitation will begin at 10:00am followed by Mass at 11:00am. Pastor Stanley K. Ihuoma, SSJ will officiate.
- Final resting location at Mount Olivet Cemetery and Mausoleum.
