Clara Mae Cryer was born on April 7, 1950 and went home to be with the Lord on March 24, 2018. Clara was preceded in death by her parents Mr. and Mrs. Harold Caretha Cryer; her brother Mr. Dennis Lee (Martha); her sister Mrs. Carrie Hagan; and her sister-in-law Mrs. Denise Kemp Cryer. Clara leaves to cherish her memory in God’s care to her only child, her loving son, Mr. Derrick A. Moten; her daughter-in-love, his beautiful wife, Mrs. Tricia D. Moten; four awesome grandchildren, Derrielle A. Moten, TJ Lynch, Tya Lynch, and Derrick A. Moten, Jr.; most precious granddaughter Armani Moten; two strong and caring brothers, Percy Lee (Ida) of Greensburg, Louisiana and Willie Cryer of Tampa, Florida; three loving and supportive sisters, Loubertha Lee of New Orleans, Louisiana; Lillian McGinnis (Harold) of Grand Prairie, Texas; and Dr. Alice Cryer-Sumler (Armond) of Gretna, Louisiana. Also left to cherish her memory are a host of nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends. Happy Birthday Mom, we love you!
Funeral services will be held on her birthday, Saturday, April 7, 2018 at St. Marks Missionary Baptist Church located at 1501 Ursulines Avenue, New Orleans, Louisiana, 70116.
Burial will be private.
