Byron Jackson, 21, died February 13, 2018 at University Medical Center. Byron was affectionately known as “Big Baby” to his family and close friends. He was a 2015 graduate of McDonald 35 High School then enrolled at Southern University at New Orleans. Bryon received God into his life at an early age. He was baptized at Reaping the Harvest International by Pastor Troy Lawrence. Byron had a fun loving, larger than life spirit. He loved to spend time with his family and friends. His kind hearted spirit will always be remembered by everyone he encountered.
He leaves to mourn his loving parents, Carolyn Jackson and Emanuel Bowden Jr. Siblings, Kenneth Jackson (Vikesha), Kendricka Jackson, Jessica Jackson, Leroy Jackson, Kadijah Jackson, Jamal Woods, Terrance Woods, Damien King, Skyler James, Dominique Woods, and Tijuana Bowden. Grandfathers, Robert Smith Sr. , and Emanuel Bowden Sr. Also, a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, family and friends. Byron was preceded in death by his grandmothers, Zenobia Smith, Catherine Bickem, and his niece, Khloe Jackson.
Family and friends are invited to attend his Home Going Celebration at Reaping the Harvest International Church, 5123 Dauphine Street, N.O., LA, 70117, on Friday, February 23, 2018 at 10:00 AM. Visitation starts at 9:00 AM. Pastor Troy Lawrence officiating. Interment at Mount Olivet Cemetery.
